TCC selected for major apartment development project

A rapidly expanding Midlands-based construction consultancy has been appointed to support one of the largest residential developments ever undertaken in Leeds city centre.

Birmingham-headquartered The Construction Consultants (TCC) will provide services for the £85 million Castleton Works project, which will deliver nearly 400 build-to-rent apartments. The scheme has received detailed planning approval from Leeds City Council.

Located on the revitalised west side of Leeds city centre—close to The Junction and Wellington Place—the development will also feature three retail units, a gym, a padel court, roof gardens and terraces, landscaped green areas and parking with electric vehicle charging stations.

TCC has been involved in the project from its early stages and is delivering quantity surveying and cost consultancy services.

The scheme is being delivered by developer Solaris, known for similar successful projects such as The Crown Works and The Emporium in Birmingham and The Chapel in Manchester.

TCC co-founder and director Alex Pimley said, “This is a prestigious scheme in a fast-evolving part of Leeds city centre which will create an urban community designed around the principles of sustainability and internal amenities, with ample green space to be enjoyed by residents. We are delighted to be involved in such an imaginative scheme.”

With extensive experience across both public and private sectors, TCC operates in industries including industrial, commercial, retail, leisure, care and residential. Based in Bennett’s Hill, the multi-disciplinary consultancy offers project management, quantity surveying, employer’s agent, building surveying and health and safety services across a wide range of sectors.
